Wendy Kesselman's 1997 stage adaptation of Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett's play "The Diary of Anne Frank" is revived at The Media Theatre now through February 16. Featuring Anastasia Korbal as Anne Frank, the show features a cast of professional actors who are members of the Actors Equity Association Union based in NYC.
The important role of Margot, Anne's sister, is played by Dana Gitlin. A graduate of New York University with a Bachelor of Music Degree, Gitlin also studied in Carnegie Mellon's Pre-College Musical Theatre Program.
The play is a moving presentation of a family who must hide from the Nazis during WWII in Amsterdam. It is based on the actual writings of Anne Frank, a young girl whose life was beginning to blossom prior to the Nazi invasion.

Gitlin is a student of the Sanford Meisner Technique of acting, with instruction from William Esper. Meisner was a renowned acting teacher from NYC who stated that 'Acting is living as truthfully as one can under an imaginary circumstance'. The director of Media's "The Diary of Anne Frank", Jesse Cline, is a proponent of this technique. Cline was actually a student of Meisner's prior to starting his own career both on stage and as a director.
Dana Gitlin makes her debut at The Media Theatre as Margot Frank. She was seen in the National Tours of "HAIR" as Crissy and in "Virtually Me!" as Lindsay. She was also seen in productions of "Barcode" (FringeNYC), "Children of Eden" (NYU), "West Side Story" (Stage Door Manor), and "Tick, Tick...Boom!" (Foyer Theatre).

She also did the Vocal Recording for Broadway's Tony winning revival of "Driving Miss Daisy".
