According to the Delaware County Daily Times Facebook page, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has made a decision on St. John Chrysostom's Blue Ribbon Commission appeal.
Media Patch, however, has not confirmed this.
Persons who answered phones at both St. John and Nativity BVM parish offices would not confirm that a decision has been made and said the Archdiocese would announce its decision Friday morning.
The Archdiocese was expected to give final decisions this week to those school's who appealed the Blue Ribbon Commission recommendations.
Nativity BVM school representatives also could not be reached for comment.
The Delco Times reported St. John's won its appeal, on its Facebook page, however as of 5:45 p.m. a story could not be found on its website about the St. John/Nativity appeal.
St. John Chrysostom in Wallingford, which was recommeded to merge with Nativity at the Media facility, appealed the Commission's recommendation in January. St. John did not appeal the merger itself but the move to the Media facility saying their facility is better equipped for the merger over Nativity's facility.
The Nativity BVM community supported the Blue Ribbon Commission's recommendation to locate the new regional Catholic elementary school in Media and did not join the appeal to change the location.
