Middletown Free Library will be offering a basic genealogy class that will cover the basics of how to begin your research into your family roots. You will learn what resources are available and which software programs you can use to document and keep track of your genealogy project. You will learn how to find and interpret state and federal censuses, vital records, military records, immigration records, and other records that can document your ancestor’s existence in a particular place and time. Feel free to bring your questions and research! Participants must register! If you have your own laptop please bring it to class.
