Basic Genealogy and Ancestry.com Classes

Middletown Free Library will be offering a four week basic genealogy class that will cover the basics of how to begin your research into your family roots. You will learn what resources are available and which software programs you can use to document and keep track of your genealogy project. The class will also explore Ancestry.com's Library Edition and how to successfully navigate through the most comprehensive database package relating to genealogy on the market today. You will learn how to find and interpret state and federal censuses, vital records, military records, immigration records, and other records that can document your ancestor's existence in a particular place and time. Registration is required for this four week course so please call the library at 610-566-7828 or email MIREFERENCE@delcolibraries.org.
