Lauren Amway will be at Media-Upper Providence Free Library,
1 E. Front St., Media, PA
to teach kids about highway safety. Street Smarts is a public education and awareness campaign
focusing on the following highway safety issues: seat belts, pedestrian safety,
bicycle safety, motorcycle safety, safe driving characteristics, and vehicle
safety.

This program is informative, it is an excellent learning
experience, and it is also a lot of fun for the children.

It includes a demonstration, student/speaker interaction,
and a fun Bingo game for the children
with small prizes given to the winners. It is proven that education and
reinforcement at an early age helps form positive traffic safety habits.

Street Smarts is a Regional Community Traffic Safety
Project  which is funded by PennDOT.
