New Springton Lake Principal Appointed by School Board

The new middle school principal was most recently a principal in a Pottstown school district.

The Rose Tree Media Board of School Directors recently appointed a new principal for Springton Lake Middle School.

Dr. Robert Salladino was approved as the new middle school principal at the June legislative meeting.

Salladino has been principal of Owen J. Roberts Middle School in Pottstown since 2007.

Salladino will officially take over as the Spartan's principal on Aug. 27 with a salary of $144,402, according to the school district.

Prior to being a principal, Salladino was an assistant principal at Abington Junior High and a math teacher, according to the school district.

Acting Springton Lake Principal Ralph Harrison had filled the role for most of the 2012-2013 school year, following the federal investigation of former principal Dr. Troy Czukoski.

Harrison will return as assistant principal at Penncrest High School.

Czukoski, who was hired in July 2012, was placed on administrative leave in October following the Rose Tree Media School District's notification of a federal investigation. When Czukoski was formally charged with possession of child pornography in March, the district accepted his resignation.

Czukoski pleaded guilty to possession of child porn in May and is expected to be sentenced on Aug. 12. He faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years in prison.
