RTM Last Day of School Changed
The Rose Tree Media School District school year calendar has been updated due to the year's earlier weather.
The Rose Tree Media Board of School Directors approved an update to the district's school year calendar at its meeting Thursday.
The district's last day of school is now Monday, June 17.
The original calendar marked the last day as June 18 for students.

The change is due to the fact that the district only used two "snow" days during Hurricane Sandy in October, according to the district website.
Early dismissal times will remain the same for the elementary and middle schools now on June 17.

Penncrest underclassmen exam schedule will now be on Thursday and Friday, June 13 and 14, with Monday, June 17 as a make-up day, according to the district website.
The last day for teachers will also be moved one day from Wednesday, June 19 to Tuesday, June 18.
