What do you like most about your job:

It's extremely rewarding to scaffold these students academically and nurture their strengths and work as a team to create a student achievement plan so each student can maximize his or her potential. When you nurture the strength of a child they are more likely to thrive. When you have education, you have self-esteem, positive relationships and academic success.

Why did you become a teacher:

I enjoy a vocation in which you can play a major role, second to parents, in educating a child and helping that child to maximize his or her potential. The rewards you see when a child meets academic success are immeasurable.

What do you like best about your current school:

There is a tremendous amount of support and respect from the community and dedication from the teachers. We're very child-centered here and people are motivated to learn and implement best practices so the students can thrive. The administration too is supportive and has always encouraged us to push ourselves and stay current in the education field.
