Phillies Fans are Down, but Never Out

Despite losing Friday night to the wildcard St. Louis Cardinals, Media's devoted fans will never give up.

Phillies fans in Media have been feeling the fever for months, from the first pitch of the season opener, through the last strike out of Friday night's NLDS Game 5.

Businesses and residents throughout Media proudly hung their signs, donned Phillies red, and cheered on their team until the last out. While the Cardinals outplayed the Fightins in the end, winning 1-0 in a game that knocks them out of World Series contention, disappointed supporters look on the bright side.

The Phillies ended their 2011 regular season with 102 wins, which set a new club record. It also made Charlie Manuel the best manager in Phillies history. They also clinched the NL East division crown for the fifth straight year in a row. That's not too shabby.
