Looking for a 5K, 10K, or half-marathon?

Looking for a local run this May?

There are three runs scheduled at this month–one for the Delaware County Suicide Prevention & Awareness Task Force 5K Run & Walk on May 5 at Picnic Area #17. Registration is $25 (children under 12 are free), includes free T-shirt, snack, beverage, and raffles/prizes. Medals will be awarded for various age groups. On-site registration will be $30. The event will be rain or shine.

There is another race on May 12, a 5K Run & Walk for Brain Cancer Awareness in honor of Sean Curry who lost his battle with brain cancer at the age of 39. Registration is $25 for the walk and $35 for the run. More information found here.

And later in the month, on May 20 at 9 a.m., there is the First CertaPro Painters 5K Walk/Run to support Homes For Our Troops. All proceeds will support Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) a charity dedicated to building homes specifically designed to accommodate the special needs of severely wounded veterans. There is an early registration fee of $20 and runners of all ages are welcome.

There are also a number of races happening across the region, including 5Ks for dogs, races for moms and daughters, and a half-marathon for the "odd" among us.
