Selecting Experienced, Qualified Judges in Delco

In the primary election on Tuesday, May 21, two candidates stand out for Judge of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas. – Rich Cappelli and William "Chip" Mackrides.

On Tuesday, May 21, Delaware County voters will head to the polls to vote on candidates for a variety of county and municipal elected positions.  One of the most important races will be selecting candidates for Judge of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.  Two candidates stand out – Rich Cappelli and William “Chip” Mackrides.  I have known Rich Cappelli and Chip Mackrides for about thirty years and am very familiar with the high level of service these men have given to Delaware County. This services spans three decades and reflects their longtime commitment to our communities.  It is not something they recently took up in advance of the election. Their years of service define who they are.

Rich and Chip have volunteered and worked hard for causes related to our youth and seniors, as well as women’s issues. They are FROM Delaware County and will be FOR Delaware County. They are true representations of the residents of this County.

In addition, they are hands down the most qualified candidates for judge.  But you do not have to take my word for it.  When the Delaware County Bar Association took a bipartisan secret ballot vote of its members, they deemed only Cappelli and Mackrides to be “Well Qualified” for judge – the Bar Association’s highest rating.  And they did so by an overwhelming majority.  Cappelli and Mackrides have also been endorsed by the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police and the Delaware County Council of the Building and Construction Trades.  They are the only candidates for judge to earn these honors.
