Mall Meeting; Wawa Meeting; Elections in the Week Ahead

What's going on this week in the greater Media area? Here's what we found but be sure to add anything we may have missed in the comments below.

  • Election Day is Tuesday
  • No school for Rose Tree Media School District students on Tuesday but it's a teacher in-service day.
  • The new Giant Supermarket in Edgmont Township will open Wednesday.
  • Nicholas Sparks will be speaking at Benchmark School in a sold out event on Thursday.
  • Representatives for the Granite Run Mall project will be at the Middletown Township committee meeting at 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 4. Find the full agenda here.
  • Media Borough Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Nov. 7 at the second floor large conference room to discuss the proposed Wawa. The regular workshop meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m. Find the full workshop agenda here. 
  • Media Borough Planning Commission meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 6

  • Psychic Tuesday with Vee at 7 p.m. at Stephen's on State on Nov. 5
  • Paws for Reading at 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 6 at Media-Upper Providence Library. For ages 5-11. Children can read aloud to a therapy dog in order to improve reading and communication skills making them feel comfortable and confident—while having fun. Registration required: 610-566-1918.
  • Movies at Middletown Free Library at 2 p.m. on Nov. 4. Registration required.
