Week Ahead: Middletown, Media Council Meetings

What's going on this week in the greater Media area? Here's what we found but be sure to add anything we may have missed in the comments below.

• Middletown Township Council meeting at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12. Council will consider the adoption of a three-way stop intersection at Old Forge Road and Yearsley Mill Road. Find the full agenda here. 
• Media Borough Council meeting at 8 p.m. on Aug. 15
• Middletown Township Planning Commission meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 13. The commission will consider a conditional use application/amendment of permitting a campus mixed use development at Ponds Edge. Find the full agenda here. 
• Delaware County Sheriff's Sale on Aug. 16
• Open Mic Night at Joclyn's on State Street in Media at 9 p.m. on Aug. 12
• Roger Ricker Concert: Star Power—The 8th annual fundraiser for the Media Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 14
• Create your own personal time capsule at 2 p.m. on Aug. 15 at Media-Upper Providence Library. Bring things that represent you, to make a personal time capsule to be shared with your future self. Registration required.
• Upper Providence Township Environmental Commission meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 15.

• Area 1 Recycling Collection days in Middletown Township on Aug. 14, 15 and 16
  
• Edgmont Township Board of Supervisors meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 14
• Edgmont Township Volunteer Fire Training at 7 p.m. on Aug. 15 at 1010 Gradyville Road
• Red Cross Blood Drives: Haverford Township Free Library from 1 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 12, Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church from 2 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 13, and Knights of Columbus Newtown Square from 2 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 14. More information here. 
• The Upper Providence Highway Department is currently trimming any trees within the right-of-way that are less than 15-feet above the roadway and 9-feet above sidewalks. If you would prefer to do the trimming yourself please contact the Highway Department at 610-565-4944 ext. 107.
