Week Ahead: Tennis Camp, RTM Meeting

  • Rose Tree Media Board of School Directors meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 22 in the auditorium at Springton Lake Middle School
  • Week 1 of Children's Tennis Camp: Held from 9 to 10 a.m., for 7-11 years olds and from 10 to 11 a.m. for 12-16 year olds. The cost is $10 a week for borough residents and $20 a week for out of borough residents. Tennis balls are provided but please bring your rackets. Call the recreation office to register at 610-566-5210 x255.
  • Middletown Township Yard Waste Collection on Aug. 21
  • Ribbon cutting at Ray Roche Park at 2 p.m. on Aug, 22. Celebrate the new playground equipment in Upper Providence Township.
  • Paws for Reading at 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 21 at Media-Upper Providence Library. For ages 5-11. Children can read aloud to a therapy dog in order to improve reading and communication skills making them feel comfortable and confident—while having fun. Registration required: 610-566-1918.
  • Psychic Tuesday with Vee at 7pm at Stephen's on State on Aug. 20
  • Quizzo at 8 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Sligo with $2.50 Coors Light and Yuengling pints.
  • Movies at Middletown Library at 2 p.m. on Aug. 19
  • Juggling Hoffman's at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 21 at Middletown Library
  • Area 2 Recycling Collection days in Middletown Township on Aug. 21, 22 and 23
  • Edgmont Township Volunteer Fire Training at 7 p.m. on Aug. 22 at 1010 Gradyville Road
  • Tours of Minshall House every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. until Aug 26.
  • Dining Under the Stars on Wednesday
  • Media Farmers Market on Thursday 
  • Springfield Road in Springfield Township will be closed between Route 1 (State Road) and Old Marple Road on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the end of August.
