Jazz By Night, Sky Zone Opens Among Weekend Events [Get Out]

It's a busy week and weekend in and around Media Patch. See what's going on.

There are lots of things happening this weekend. It's a weekend full of music and community events. The 11th Annual Jazz by Night Celebration will be held in Media this weekend and there is a benefit concert for the Food Bank. But if jumping around is more your speed than check out Sky Zone which officially opens this week or a FAB women's fitness event.

Jazz By Night 

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Where: Downtown Media
  • Why Go: Enjoy 21 indoor stages, throughout Media. Just a few of the artists include; Bootsie Barnes Quartet, Joe Kenney Band, The Midnighters, Eric Stein Trio and Elliott Levin Duo. Find the full line up and schedule here

Sky Zone Opens Thursday
  • When: Thursday, Nov. 14 from 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Where: 10 Conchester Road in Glen Mills,
  • Why Go: The much-anticipated opening of Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park in Glen Mills, which to offers wall-to-wall trampoline courts designed as a fun and fit outing for all ages, shapes and sizes.

Transition Town Media's Candlelight Potluck Banquet

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m.
  • Where: Media Community Center, 301 N Jackson St, Media
  • Why Go: Enjoy great food, company, and music while learning more about the groups that make Media special. This 2nd annual event is an opportunity to make connections between area non-profits and community supporters. 
  • Cost: Free (but $10 to enjoy a special micro-brewed beer)
Food Bank Benefit Concert
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
  • Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, 145 W. Rose Tree Road, Media
  • Why Go: This holiday season is predicted to be challenging for poor families in Delaware County. Come on out and support the mission, support the artists, and enjoy a great evening with your community. Four local music groups will perform; Me 3, Al Bien & Friends, Jean Therapy and Chris Sparks & the Krupiak Bros (aka: The Cactus Hearts).  
  • Cost: $10 donation requested
FAB Women's Fitness
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Where: From the Top Studio of Dance, Newtown Square Shopping Center 
  • Why Go: Enjoy a fun, informative, and effective workout that combines physical fitness with personal development. The F.A.B workout will explore the concept of self-worth and simple ways we can improve our own. 

Cavalcade of Magic

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 
  • Where: C.C. Hancock United Methodist Church, 542 Wesley Road, Springfield,
  • Why Go: Be mystified by this 90-minutes of magical entertainment.
  • Cost: Adults $8 in advance, $10 at the door, $5 for children under 12. Family Pack-$25 for four or more people (2 adults, 2 or more children in same family). Call 610-543-3551 for tickets.
