Media Food Festival Set for Sunday

The rain date is Oct. 13.

What may be Media Borough's largest event, takes place this Sunday on State Street. 

Media's 33rd Annual Food and Craft Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. 

More than 40 restaurants and 75 craft vendors will fill the streets and stomachs of thousands.

Roam the streets listening to live music while filling your belly with a wide array of cuisines.

At the Monroe Street Stage Kim Trusty will perform at noon followed by Leroy Hawkes and the Hipnotics at 2:30 p.m. The Orange Street Stage will feature two additional acts. Kids will also enjoy a giant slide and other games.

Between 6,000 and 7,000 people attended last year's Food Fest, Zubair Khan, executive director of Media Business Authority, said.

State Street will be closed from Monroe Street to the end of trolley line before Lemon Street and there will be no parking on State Street beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday. No dogs are permitted at this event.
