Established in 2000, the Academy of International Ballet & Performing Arts has been teaching in this community since it moved to its new location here in 2005. The master instructors, Denis Gronostayskiy and Anastasia Babayeva, are graduates of the world-renowned Bolshoi in Moscow, Russia. The academy teaches the Vaganova method of classical ballet along with jazz, modern dance and pilates classes.
The Academy of International Ballet & Performing Arts are active members in the community, hosting dance performance festivals, lectures and demonstrations at schools, libraries, assisted living residencies and colleges. They are members of the Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, the Arts and Business Council of Philadelphia, WHYY Partners Program, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Brandywine Country Visitors Bureau, the Media Arts Council and serve on the board of the Arts Council at Neumann University. Every year they perform a full length Nutcracker Ballet, a Spring ballet performance from the classical ballet repertoire plus many ballet recitals and a summer ballet festival.

It is a great honor for the Academy of International Ballet to have chosen Media as their home. AIB's owners and teachers hail from the world-famous Bolshoi Academy and Bolshoi Ballet Company...an ultimate distinction which I believe only Media, and no other ballet school in the USA, can claim. AIB is the most superior ballet school in Delaware Valley and beyond. Their students proved this fact while dancing in the recent "Nutcracker", and other famous ballets produced by the ballet company, "International Ballet Classique". IBC is the ballet company of AIB. The friendly atmosphere and devoted teaching at AIB grooms serious students in the Art of Ballet, and develops grace, poise, strength, and focusing abilities in both their serious and not-so-serious students.
