I had a lovely dinner at Fellini's last evening, it took a long time to be served, but the wait was worth it. I must say though that the place was extremely noisey! It was crowded, but still, I felt like standing up and telling everyone to shut up and eat! Maybe Saturday night is not a good time to go to Fellini's if you want a nice quiet dinner with friends.

As soon as one enters Fellini's Cafe Trattoria on State Street in Media one is promptly greeted by relaxed smiles and gentle warm words of welcome. Such immediate acceptance into their old world social charm and friendly Italian ambiance is much like suddenly stepping out of the State Street pedestrian's fast forward frenzy and into a delightful cozy restaurant in Florence, or Milan. The first sensation is the bouquet of aromas of superb home made real Italian food, the sight of tantalizing and delicious pastas being served , the many selections of enticing tasty sauces, and the unspoken energy of culinary creativity in their kitchen area.
Monday nights are 'opera nights' when patrons may enjoy superb old world cuisine while listening to artists near your tables beautifully perform the soaring adagios of Puccini's arias from La Boheme, Tosca, and Turandot, Verdi's La Traviata and all the worlds most cherished opera's while sipping fine wine and forgetting ones daily concerns.
For anyone who wishes to enjoy such soothing sounds from your favorite opera, delectable Italian cuisine and friendly ambiance one need only dine at Fellini's!
What is missing? A glass ceiling to allow their patrons to be bathed in a soft moonlight while dining !!! Ah! Now they are in Florence!

We had Christmas Eve reservations for 6pm upon arrival at 5:55pm we were told it would be 15 minutes until our table would be ready. Clearly the concept of a reservation is foreign to the pretentious, arrogant host. After waiting for a half-hour we were told that there were still two tables to be seated in front of us. The manager, co-owner, host attempted to explain that this was the 1% of the time when the tables weren't turning over in the time they allotted for them and disputed the fact that they clearly overbooked the restaurant. While I understand the service industry and some things are out of the control of the establishment this young man obviously could care less about our business or making things right. What he failed to realize is that there are at least a dozen restaurants within steps of his small location. As a matter of fact one located directly across the street, Stephen's on State, which welcomed my family with open arms, sat us immediately and served us a delicious meal. Fellini's Failed!
