In observance of the New Year holiday, most government buildings will be closed both Monday and Tuesday and some local businesses will be closed, while some will have limited hours. Click here to see if you will also have a trash collection change over the holiday. The following businesses will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, unless otherwise stated. Some Media Patch municipalities will see a trash collection change during the New Years holiday.
Most Media Patch municipal buildings will be closed for the New Years holiday on both Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Below is a trash and recyclable pick-up schedule for area municipalities over New Years: Edgmont Township—Administrative offices will be open for a half day on Monday and closed on Tuesday. Municipal trash removal is not provided by the township. Please check with your private hauler. half Media Borough—Administrative offices will be closed both Monday and Tuesday. Trash and recycling will not be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 1 and will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 2 instead. Monday, Dec. 31 collections will remain the same.
