Media Borough Council Reappoints MBA Members

Media Borough Council made re-appointments to the Media Business Authority at its Thursday meeting.

Media Borough Council re-appointed several members to the Media Business Authority at its meeting Thursday. Council reappointed five members but not every appointment was to a unanimous vote. Councilman Kent Davidson said prior to voting that he would be basing his votes on participation and attendance at business authority meetings. He said he was not in favor of re-appointing members who have not shown participation in at least half of the meetings. Councilwoman Monika Rehoric said MBA members missing several meetings needs to be addressed and steps need to be taken to determine a level of committment. Speakers set up along State Street often play Christmas music during the holiday season. What are your thoughts on the tunes?

Christmas music during the holiday season can be heard along State Street coming from speakers that line the street from Orange to Monroe streets. Media Patch wants to know what you think of the music. Do you enjoy hearing the holiday favorites as you shop, dine and walk along State Street? Parking Meter Debit Cards Available in Media

Media Borough will offer parking meter debit cards during the holiday season.

Media Borough will offer parking meter debit cards during the holiday season in order to make residents and visitors more aware of the new program. The parking meter debit cards, which look like any gift card or credit card, are offered by the Media Business Authority and can be purchased at Borough Hall. The meters will continue to accept coins as well. There is a one-time $2 charge for the card and then residents are able to add and recharge with different monetary values. Currently, the only location to recharge the cards is at Borough Hall but other options are being researched.
