Cutest Couple Winner Named

Find out who won Patch’s Cutest Couple contest.

The votes are in and Heather McFeeley and her boyfriend John Lorentson have been named Patch’s Cutest Couple. McFeeley’s mother, Patty McFeeley, entered the couple in the Springfield Patch contest. In the voting, Sheri Joseph called them “Such an adorable couple!!” and Claire Carroll said “heather and john have got it going on!!!” Terry Hudson said, “Heather and Jon adorable and so nice too!” McFeeley and Lorentson will receive: Second prize goes to Laurie and Jason Bull, of Bryn Mawr. Philly.com Reviews Media Theatre's 'Hairspray'

Victoria Mayo, who plays Tracy Turnblad, steals the show, according to philly.com.

The winner of The Media Theatre's Best Bouffant Contest has been announced and the show continues to bring its big hair and big voices to the stage through November 4. If you haven't checked out the show for yourself yet, here is a philly.com review of the show saying, "(the cast's) bright, proud voices (bubble) through the poppy tunes." The review also says Victoria Mayo, who plays Tracy Turnblad, steals the show. "For two-and-a-half hours, I found it impossible not to watch her sing," reviewer and writer Jim Rutter says. County Council 'Goes Red' to Prevent Heart Disease

Delaware County Council presented a resolution designating February as American Heart Month.

There was a sea of red ties, scarves and dresses at the Feb. 1 Delaware County Council meeting, all being worn to raise awareness about heart disease. County Council presented a resolution designating February as American Heart Month. The first Friday of the month is designated as "Go Red" Day when people across the country are urged to wear red to raise awareness. The council resolution is just one aspect of a campaign to address the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Representatives from the American Heart and Stroke Associations addressed council along with two stroke survivors who now help others recover from the debilitating effects of a stroke.
