A grand opening is anticipated for Media's newest burger joint the first week of June.

With two locations already established in Chester County, it was only a matter of time for Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries  to expand its business to Delaware County. Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries is taking over the former space of Zac's Hamburgers, located on the corner of State and Orange streets in Media. Zac's closed in November 2012. Buddy's expects to open its doors to the public the first week of June. A locally owned chain by three buddies—Boornazian, Sean Dannaker, and Bob Hewczuk—the first Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries opened its doors in West …

Double Decker Pizza will open its fourth restaurant in Media Borough

Soon Media Borough will be a fourth home to the "inside out," Double Decker Pizza's speciality. Double Decker Pizza, which first opened in 1976, will soon open a fourth location on Baltimore Avenue in Media, next to the vacant lot which was formerly the Media Inn. The new restaurant is expected to open in May, if construction continues to stay on track. Construction is currently underway, including breaking through walls of what once were five different shops and will soon house a two-story restaurant. Dimitri Gianneas, a Double Decker co-owner, says the family-owned restaurant has always wanted to expand to Media and expected the borough to be home to its second location. Dominic’s Roast Beef Opens at Granite Run Mall

Granite Run Mall's newest restaurant recently opened its doors.

Dominic’s Hand Carved Roast Beef & Roast Pork opened its doors at Granite Run Mall on Feb. 27. Dominic’s serves up hand-carved roast beef and roast pork, draft beer and wine. Owner Daniel Malatesta, who had retired from now-closed Lotsa Pasta & Pub in Clifton Heights, couldn't stay away from the restaurant business. After about a year of retirement, he decided to open a new restaurant, which is named after his late father. Dominic’s is located inside the mall near Sears. They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., except on Sundays when they close at 6 p.m. with the rest of the mall.

House Restaurant Expansion Expected for May

The Jackson Street restaurant in Media Borough will more than triple its seating this summer.

House, the quaint restaurant that sits on Jackson Street just off of State in Media Borough, is currently undergoing renovations to expand in to the neighboring properties. After Tea and Cakes Tea Room closed earlier this year, House took over the connecting properties and will bump through to create a larger House. Owner Mike Hackett says House is tripling its square footage and more than tripling its seating with the expansion. House, which has been in Media for six years, currently seats about 16, both indoor and outdoor, but soon customers will fill about 75 seats with more seating both inside and outside. A private room will also be available for parties. Hackett, along with his co-owner and wife, Ginny, were looking for about two or …

The Middletown Township Council approved the transfer of a liquor license for the restaurant.

A new restaurant, Dominic’s Hand Carved Roast Beef & Roast Pork, will open at Granite Run Mall next month. Middletown Township Council on Monday night unanimously approved an inter-municipal transfer of a liquor license to Dominic’s from the now-closed Lotsa Pasta & Pub at 410 S. But after a year at home, Malatesta said he decided to open a new restaurant, which is named after his late father. Dominic’s will serve hand-carved roast beef and roast pork, draft beer and wine, Malatesta said.
