Blotter: Driver Flees Scene on Foot After Crash

The hit-and-run driver left behind his female passenger who sustained minor injuries in the crash, police say.

Hit-And-Run—Baltimore Pike near Valley Road at about 8:31 p.m. on Jan. 14. A Buick Ranier, driven by a 65-year-old Glen Mills woman, was stopped at the intersection for a red traffic signal when a Dodge Neon reared ended the Buick, according to State Police. Plus: A man arrested in connection with a retail theft was found to be a wanted person and in possession of marijuana.

Warren Wiley Ray, Jr., 55, of Brookhaven, entered the store, allegedly took $127.50 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying, according to State Police. Ray was arrested and charged in connection with retail theft. But after a records check, Ray was found to be a wanted person and was taken into custody by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, according to …
