Forecasters are expecting 2-4 inches.
Snow overnight and throughout Monday could lead to some slippere conditions, according to the National Weather Service. A Winter Weather advisory has been issued through 6 p.m. Monday. Snow accumulations are expected at 2 to 4 inches with the greatest accumulations on unpaved surfaces. The winter weather advisory gives this timeline for the storm: The snow is anticipated to mix with rain again on Monday afternoon. The area of precipitation is expected to move off the coast on Monday night. Temperatures are expected to be mainly in the mid 30s. The National Weather Service predicted a 100 percent chance of precipitation from Wednesday evening through early Thursday morning in the Philadelphia area.
Up to 3 inches of snow is expected to fall early Thursday morning in the Philadelphia area, according to a National Weather Service forecast Wednesday afternoon. The predicted timeline was as follows for Philadelphia International Airport: Keep checking Patch through Thursday morning for any forecast changes and any community postponements or cancellations.

Sunday could have some freezing rain.
We managed to escape the brunt of the storm. Saturday is expected to be cloudy and windy with gusts as high as 36mph, according the the National Weather Service. The snow should clear our early, according to NBC 10’s Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz. The Sunday forecast is sunny with a high of 37, but Sunday night and into Monday morning, there is a chance of freezing rain after 1 a.m., according to the NWS.

The National Weather Service expects the bulk of the storm to hit the Philadelphia area Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Snowfall forecasts increased early Friday morning for the winter storm approaching the Philadelphia area, according to the National Weather Service. The agency mapped predicted snowfall amounts throughout the region: This forecast was a noticeable departure from the forecast late Wednesday night, when 2-4 inches was the maximum expected. It still falls far short of expected snowfall amounts farther north on the eastern seaboard; New York and Boston may get more than two feet, according to some forecast models. Rain is expected to precede the snow through much of Friday, with the changeover to snow happening Friday night, when temperatures should dip to the mid-20s, according to the NWS. AAA reports nearly double the number of emergency calls as last year.
You aren’t the only one feeling the cold. Your car is too. AAA Mid-Atlantic reported that on Tuesday it responded to nearly double the number of battery calls it had on the same day last year. Batteries are the biggest reason motorist call during a cold spell, according to AAA. “When temperatures plummet, automotive failures skyrocket. We know that the severe cold will cause calls to AAA for jump starts and frozen locks increase tremendously, but most of these calls are preventable with appropriate maintenance,” said Jenny M. Snow is in today’s forecast. An advisory from the National Weather Service reads: LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM WEST TO EAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON. BY EARLY EVENING, IT SHOULD BE SNOWING ACROSS ALL AREAS. THE SNOW IS THEN EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF AROUND MIDNIGHT. IMPACTS...GIVEN THE CONTINUATION OF VERY COLD CONDITIONS ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA, THE SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE IMMEDIATELY. A gloomy week isn't getting any brighter just yet.
It’s expected to rain late tonight and then turn to sleet with a mixture of snow and sleet overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service gives the probability of precipitation overnight at 100 percent. The overnight low is expected to be hovering around the freezing mark. Snow and sleet are expected to continue through Wednesday morning, according the National Weather Service, with most of it stopping by 10 a.m. NBC 10 Philadelphia’s “Hurricane” Glenn Schwartz says the temperatures are warm enough and the precipitation is light enough that it should melt. Schwartz says the sun with return Thursday.

White Christmas could occur as Santa comes to town.
It might be light, but this Christmas could be white. With a 90 percent chance of precipitation, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 could see some snowfall this year. The National Weather Service predicts a mix of rain, snow and sleet through 4 a.m. Dec. 25. Temperatures will hover around 33 degrees, allowing some chance of Christmas snow.
