Car Mirror Damaged in Hit-and-Run, Police Say

Here is a recent incident in Upper Providence Township reported by the Upper Providence Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.   Disabled Vehicle—Route 1 near Ridley Creek Road at about 2:22 p.m. on March 18. Police responded to a disabled vehicle on the roadway and found a driver waiting for AAA to respond to change a tire, according to the report. The driver told police she was traveling south on Route 1 when her tire had a blow out, according to the report. Due to the hazardous location, the officer changed the tire on scene and put on the spare, according to the report. Suspicious Vehicle Parks in Driveway, Police Say

A resident returned home to find an unknown vehicle in his driveway, police say.

Here is a recent incident in Upper Providence Township reported by the Upper Providence Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.   A suspicious vehicle was found parked in a resident's driveway between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m. on March 21, according to the report. The resident arrived home to find a green Chevrolet van parked in his driveway on the 200 block of Highland Avenue, according to the report. The man blocked the vehicle in and asked the driver, a white woman between the ages of 50 and 60, what she was doing, according to the report. The woman responded that she had been using his driveway to turn around when he pulled up, according to the report. No one else was seen in the van…

The problems of "the city" are drifting into the suburbs (crime, dirt, disrespect for others, etc.). And everyone should be offended by this trend. I was also raised in the city when it was not so crime-ridden, dirty, and we cared about our neighborhoods. Go back (if you dare) and see what it looks and acts like. Criminal Mischief—400 block of Manchester Avenue at about 1:35 p.m. on March 9. The outer glass to a front picture window had been smashed by a rock, according to the report. The resident told police her daughter heard a noise around 2 a.m. and went downstairs to investigate but found nothing and returned to bed, according to the report. Abandoned Cat Leads to Arrest

An attempt to leave a cat at the Delco SPCA leads to a man's arrest, police say.

If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.   Police were dispatched to the Delaware County SPCA on Sandy Bank Road at about noon on March 17, for a man who was attempting to abandon a cat on the property, according to the report, the man was denied from dropping his cat off, due to policy reasons. The man had explained his situation that cats were not permitted where he lived and he needed to get rid of it, however, the policy was explained to the man that he would have to take the animal to the Chester County SPCA, according to the report. Police observed a blue Ford Taurus traveling at 78 mph in a 55 mph zone and the vehicle was pulled over, according to police. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the driver had an active warrant out of Darby Borough and the man was taken into custody. Fleeing from a Crash—N. Ridley Creek and N. Feathering roads at about 9:14 a.m. on Aug. 29. Police were dispatched to the area for a report of a vehicle crash but prior to police arriving the white Acura Legend fled the scene on N.
