The Delaware County SPCA will participate in World Spay Day on Feb. 28, when it will spay and neuter dozens of cats from the community for just $15, thanks to the generosity of donors. As the Delaware County SPCA moves toward becoming a lifesaving organization by July, the Spay Day subsidized spay/neuter program is just one of many preventative programs it continues to put in place to combat overpopulation. Head Vet Dr. Kim Boudwin will be joined by fellow vet Dr. LeAndra Thompson, both graduates of the UPenn School of Veterinary Medicine. During this special promotion, cats coming in for surgery that are not up-to-date on rabies can be vaccinated for $10. Microchipping and a lifetime registration will be available for $35.
