Storms Create Tree Mess On Media By-Pass

The exit for Route 252 from the southbound media by-pass was shut down for a short time Tuesday morning in the wake of powerful rainstorms that knocked huge tree limbs onto the exit ramp.

Tree crews with a large crew worked to clear debris and the ramp was cleared shortly after 10 a.m.

A state trooper was in the scene but many drivers were surprised by the exit closure which came up quickly for motorists in the southbound lanes. The same ramp is normally slow for exiting vehicles during the morning rush hour.
