Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries Opens

State Street's newest eatery is now flipping burgers and open for business.

Buddy's Burgers, Breasts and Fries, at the corner of State and Orange streets in Media Borough, officially opened its doors on Thursday.

Finishing touches were being completed Wednesday night inside Buddy's, which also has locations in West Chester and Exton.

Sean Dannaker, one of the three owners, said opening a third location in Media was a no-brainer, especially with the courthouse, lunch traffic nearby.

"We're in the Chester County seat in West Chester so it made sense to be in the Delaware County seat too," Dannaker said. "And this is a great corner location."

As the owners fiddled with the grill Wednesday evening, the anticipation of when Buddy's would open was still undecided. But then...they had grill power.

"See that steam coming up," Dannaker said pointing to the grill. "We're open."

Buddy's takes over the former Zac's Hamburgers, which closed toward the end of 2012, at the same location.

Buddy's sports-themed, eatery, isn't a typical burger joint since it also offers hot dogs, grilled cheese, chicken, turkey burgers and any signature "burger" in a salad form, for the health conscience.

A Buddy's meal of course would not be complete without a milkshake and boardwalk fries too. The Butterscotch Krimpet Shake is a must-try.

The sports-themed restaurant saw some updates since its days as Zac's with the addition of televisions offering the latest games and sports memorabilia throughout.
