Fellini's Begins Construction to Expand

Fellini's restaurant on State Street in Media will soon be double the size. 

The Italian restaurant is breaking through the former Salad Stop location next door and will expand its dining room area.

Salad Stop closed on Sept. 27. 

Fellini's manager D. Vinciguerra said construction is underway and the expansion is expected to be completed by Dec. 1. 

Fellini's customers won't see any disruption during the project, as all the construction will happen on the Salad Stop side of the expansion, Vinciguerra said. 

The final step of breaking through the wall will happen overnight and the next day, there will be even more seating for Fellini's lovers. 

The cut through will occur in about the middle of the restaurant and there will be no expansion to the kitchen area, he said. 

Vinciguerra wasn't exactly sure how much seating will be gained with the expansion, but reservations will likely still be a good idea, whenever heading to Fellini's.
