Community Corner

2nd Saturday

2nd Saturday for August
10, 2013

puts young artists in the spotlight.

“The Fala Sisters” is a
duo cover band with Delco sisters, 13 year old Jess Fala and 15 year old
Noelle Fala.

They will play at the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union

in Media at 7 pm. Their smooth unplugged sound incorporates their love

of music and a shared passion for performing. They get their inspiration from many singer/songwriters
including Taylor Swift and Tori Kelly.

Painter Seth Darnall is
a graduate of the University of the Arts. He has been painting since
2005. By day he is the Director of Production for Suburban Life

Magazine. His paintings range in size from 24”x24” to 24’x36”. He was

honored to have “Fig Media” magazine feature his painting "Hide" on the

cover of their 2012 fall arts issue.

His work will
be on exhibit at Media Pizza and Grill.

Kids will enjoy
creating their own piece of summer oriented art, using whimsical
materials. The children’s activity will be led by art teacher Christine

Iovannicci of “Art for Everyone” who is also a teacher at The Creative

Living Room in Swarthmore.

This free event will be held 6 to 7pm, in
the lobby of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, State & Olive
Streets.
