Community Arts Center, 414 Plush Mill Road,
Wallingford, PA, presents their annual Member’s Exhibit, June 30th through
August 2, 2013. The public is invited to the opening reception on Sunday, June 30th
from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 3 p.m.
The Member’s Show, open to all active adult members of Community
Arts Center, encourages emerging artists to exhibit their
work alongside professionals.
The wide-ranging exhibition, judged by Margaret Winslow,
Associate Curator for Contemporary Art, Delaware Art Museum,
features artwork in drawing, watercolor, oil/acrylic, mixed media, photography,
ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, jewelry/metals, and digital. Ribbons
in each major media group in both professional and non-professional categories
and additional cash awards for Best in Show, ceramics and jewelry/metals will
be awarded on June 30th at 3 p.m. Most works are
available for sale.
Gallery hours are Mon.-Thurs. 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Friday – 9 a.m.
– 3 p.m. and Saturday – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Arts Center is closed July 4-6.
