Media's annual Bastille Day celebration is scheduled for July 13, 2013, 6:00-10:30pm in downtown Media. This event will be presented by the Media Business Authority and Barnieu Restaurants. It was run successfully for many years by the Media Arts Council.
Bastille Day is the most exciting 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll of the year, where State Street will be closed to traffic and transformed into an arts-filled scene from history, featuring professional theater presentations, visual art demonstrations, live music and dancing, children’s activities and crafts, and al fresco dining.
The event will feature a reenactment of the storming of the Bastille by the Hedgerow Theater. This event is an exciting, interactive historical performance.
