Week Ahead: Fourth of July Events

See what's coming up this week in Media Patch.

What's going on this week in the greater Media area? Here's what we found but be sure to add anything we may have missed in the comments below.

  • Media Borough's Independence Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to noon on July 4 at Barrall Field. Celebrate America's birthday with food, fun and live entertainment for the kids. Wear your red, white and blue and have fun on the water slide, doing arts and crafts and playing games. Find more information here
  • All municipal offices will be closed on Thursday.
  • Dining Under the Stars on Wednesday
  • Media Farmers Market canceled Thursday for Fourth of July
  • Media Borough Community Comprehensive Plan Task Force meeting at 6 p.m. on July 2 
  • Middletown Township Yard Waste Collection on July 3
  • The Marple Newtown Fourth of July Parade starts at 10 a.m. on July 4. The parade route will float down the westbound lanes of West Chester Pike, beginning at St. Albans Circle and ending at Broomall Fire House.  
    • All traffic will be on the eastbound side of West Chester Pike during the parade. Both east and west bound traffic will occupy a single lane in each direction on the east bound side.
