Sunday afternoon, Milmont and Folsom Fire Departments played a softball game to benefit Crozer Hospital's Nathan Speare Regional Burn Treatment Center. Dan Brees and Chase Frost, two firefighters injured in a 2007 Parkside Borough townhouse fire, threw the first pitch. Brees suffered from burns over 5 percent of his body along with respiratory problems. Frost suffered first- and second-degree burns over 50 percent of his body.
Between the 5th and 6th innings, Representative Hackett had the honor to introduce and award Ridley Area Little League team members who advanced their way to the Little League State Championship at The University of Pittsburgh-Bradford on Saturday, July 27 versus the Lionville Youth Association of Chester County.

This Little League team is the first Ridley Area Little League to win the District 19 and Section 8 titles and the first Ridley team to even make an appearance in the championship tournament.
